Part of self-compassion is being kind to yourself when you "mess up."
And also being gentle with the word "failure" and re-framing that as part of the process of growth.
In January, I wrote the blog about Big Magic and used the quote Sometimes it works, Sometimes it doesn't
as part of that acceptance and learning process.
However, sometimes
you need to just acknowledge how dang awesome you are.
And for that, we turn to the incredible Luvvie Ayaji-Jones for inspiration.
Her book, Professional Troublemaker: A Fear Fighters Manual,
came to me at just the right time.
It's all about acknowledging your strengths.
And she has this exercise in the book where she challenges you to write your ORIKI - I wrote about my attempt at it this week here.
Make time to do this exercise. It's really fun!
Understand your superpowers.
Tell people what they are.
*I'm in San Diego this weekend co-hosting our self-care retreat. Organizing events is one of my superpowers.
Also, finding the right people to partner with on projects and creating amazing teams is another - here's some awesome things that are going on right now.
