New Nature Play Therapy Book!
Dr. Janet Courtney, Jamie Lynn Langley, Dr. Roz Heiko, Lynn Louise Wonders and Rose LaPiere
have gathered an all-star team of therapists for a new book
available for pre-order called
Nature-based Play & Expressive Therapies: Interventions for Working With Children, Teens & Families
I was very fortunate to be included in it with co-author,
Dr. Bree Conklin.

The editing team has also compiled this awesome feature article.

I'm extra excited about this book because it has lots of photographs!!
And two of them include my very own children out enjoying nature in Hawaii.
(Oh gosh, do I miss Hawaii's weather and access to nature!)

Other chapter authors include well known play therapists like: Joyce Mills, Lisa Dion, Jackie Flynn, Angela Cavett, Meyleen Valasquez, Paris Goodyear-Brown and many more!

MORE NATURE BASED THERAPY

ALL ALONG YOU WERE BLOOMING
inspired by theMorgan Harper Nichols - book!
The metaphors of planting seeds, removing weeds, and popping through the earth as the beautiful and unique flower that you are is the theme of  this live (zoom) workshop April 9th!
My co-facilitator, Nancy Scherlong is a Poetry Therapist - and she will also be presenting at the Mid-Atlantic Play Therapy Conference in June.  Are you going there? Let's meet up!

JEN'S JOURNAL PROMPT
Recall a time that you were somewhere pleasant enjoying nature.

Relieve that moment using vivid sensory details.

What did it sound like? What did it smell like? What colors can you see? What can you touch and how does that feel?

Spend five minutes capturing that moment.

When you are finished, notice how you feel.
Write down three words to describe those feelings.
