First of all, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day - it can be a tough day for many of us and is often a mix of happy and sad memories.
We skipped the usual outdoor adventure and kept it low-key (coloring, this LEGO orchid project, and we made my mom's fudge recipe).
I'm grateful to the teachers who help our little ones create the Mother's Day booklets with gems like, "My mom is 78 years old, her favorite book is "ALL THE BOOKS" and an adjective to describe her is "smart, really smart."
And confession. I worked.
I know that feels like a Mother's Day no-no, but
when you do work that you love, work feels like play.
Creating a business that you love working on is part of Lisa Dion's vision for the Business of Therapy course happening in Denver, Colorado November 11-13. And I am helping Lisa plan and organize this epic gathering (which includes an online option for those that can't travel yet).
And we are staying at The Browne Palace - isn't that a cool name for a hotel?
It even has a flower shop in it - so you'll know where to find me!
Come build your dreams with us!
It's going to the type of work that feels like play, for sure!
I also worked a bit on my biggest dream
a play therapy training in Kenya happening in August 2023.
Yep....this massive project is moving along thanks to the help of a lot of amazing people both here and there. And the journey begins in June with our collaborative international play therapy ethics training. This live Zoom course features four world-class instructors and has been one of my most interesting dives into intercultural learning.
I hope you will join us - No passport required!
And for those of you who dream at night,
I launched this brief journaling course designed to help you decode the symbols in your dreams so that you can harness that wisdom during the day.
What are you working on?
I'd love to hear about your big dreams....
