IT'S SUMMER!
What day is it?

It was one of those weeks last week - the overwhelming emotions that came up last week had me all sorts of dysregulated.  That plus sick kids and holidays - it was hard to remember what day it was!
So much so that I missed my regular schedule of sending emails last Friday and again yesterday.

REST.

Sometimes, even the little things (like writing an email) are just too much.  And taking a short break is allowed.

LISTEN.

To your body. To the still, small voice that guides decision-making.
To the wisdom that comes from the journal.

Last week, I did my Month-End Review for May.

And, what it reminded me was that
IT'S SUMMER. (finally)

Do things differently.

In that 30 minutes of journaling, I realized that I wanted change my work schedule so that I could have more free time/days off during the summer.  I wanted to s l o w - d o w n and enjoy the summer.

Permission to do things differently during the summer.
More REST.  More PLAY.  More time to CREATE.

And for me, fewer emails - for the summer.
I'll send just one per week (On Monday) until September -
then re-evaluate during the month-end review in August.

What decisions will your month-end review help you make?
Get the free worksheet - it really is my favorite journaling tool!

SUMMER SCHOOL

IT'S SHORT, BUT SUPER IMPORTANT!
INTERNATIONAL ETHICS TRAINING
We are putting the final details on the Ethics of International Play Therapy course - this is the one that will help start the conversation about how to think critically and from a lens of cultural humility when it comes our collaborations and partnerships with Kenya (specifically, but also globally).  Join our Facebook Group to get real-time updates.

JEN'S JOURNAL
SUMMER BUCKET LIST

What parts of summer do you most look forward to?

Make a list of the things that you want to do this summer.

It's called Summer BREAK for a reason.

Now make a second list, this one will include all the things that need to be put on pause for a few months.
What are you going to STOP doing during your summer break?
