How to Learn From The Success of Others

There's a really good book called Decoding Greatness: How the Best in the World reverse engineer success. The basic principle from the author, Ron Friedman is about reverse engineering:

"Reverse engineering simply means studying the best in a field and working backward to figure out how they did it."

In the play therapy field, one of the contemporary greats is the creator of Synergetic Play Therapy Lisa Dion.

I had an opportunity to interview Lisa about her entrepreneurial journey on Lisa's podcast, Lessons from the Playroom.

In this episode, we worked backwards - all the way to what Lisa was like as a child, to learn about her success patterns.  We study what helped her succeed as a Decoding play therapy Greatness lesson.

Now, the key to reverse engineering is that you
CAN'T JUST COPY SOMEONE ELSE.

You can learn from the best but you still have to BE YOU.
You still have to bring YOUR authentic self -
otherwise it's just plagiarism.
And people can spot a copy.

In this episode, we talked about how to getting inspiration and being authentic to your own goals and dreams.

Check it out here and then
invest in your own greatness at the
Business of Therapy course
in Denver November 11-13.
