Take it all in.
Sometimes you are at a loss for words.

(not the best situation for a writer like me)

But sometimes, you are at a loss for words.
If you have ever had an experience so meaningful that you are
"stunned to the point of speechlessness"
you might know what I mean.

Sometimes this experience is due to joy.  Other times gratitude.  Sometimes intense anger. Maybe complete shock.

In these times, I think it is best to just let it all sink in.
Let your body notice what your brain can not express.

Let it all sink in.
Find a way that feels meaningful to you to notice what is happening.
Walk, dance, draw, pray - whatever you need to do.

When I used to have therapy business cards,
the back of them said:

Therapy where words are optional.

This weekend, there have been multiple times that I was
"stunned to the point of speechlessness"

Surrounded by supportive therapists in an intense course.
Supported by a mentor and friend.
At the top of a super tall mountain.
Sitting with a person that I thought I might not see again.

So, today...that's all I've got.
Sit with it. Sit with it. Sit with it.

Take it all in.
The words will come later.

JEN'S JOURNAL
When you don't have words - when the journals blank page feels like it just won't do the job,

Sit with it. (your journal).

You don't have to write it all down.

You don't have to journal every day.

You don't have to explain it right now.

Come back to it later, tomorrow, next week
The words will be there.
