What's going well?

I'm going to keep it real simple this week.

What's going well?

I asked this question last week in The Business of Therapy Facebook Group. This is a group for entrepreneurial people (mostly therapists, but being a therapist is not a requirement).
Feel free to check it out and join!

I only had one rule - no BUTS.

Meaning no posts that say “I did this awesome thing but didn’t do these 10 others” or “I started this awesome thing but I’m still not finished”.

People like to discount their wins by reminding themselves of their losses.
and there really is no good reason to do that.

To really up the ante (and get the max benefit from this practice), I challenge you to the "3 Wins" practice from Dan Sullivan, co-author of this great book The Gap and The Gain.

Sullivan asks people to write down not just one thing that's going well, but instead "three wins" for the day EVERY DAY!  He also wants you to predict tomorrow's three wins (and write them down) every day before you go to bed.

And there's even a handy little app he created to help you get track.

By celebrating what you've already done (Sullivan calls this "the gain") instead of what you still have left to do (the "gap") you create momentum to keep moving forward and to feel good about where you are in this moment.

Sullivan recommends having an accountability partner for this exercise - a person that you can email or text your wins to EVERY DAY!

If you don't have a person that wants to celebrate your wins with you,
email them to me: info@jentaylorplaytherapy.com

Don't be afraid to email me every single day.
I want to hear about your wins and celebrate with you
.

That's it.  Practice celebrating success every step of the way.
What you've already done is pretty amazing.

As I look at this list, what I notice is....(OR)
